Review:
Since his last records, the mail order only Down to The Wire (1997) and Poet Wind (1998) it was frightening quiet around David Munyon. After almost three years deadly silence we find David Munyon recording in a local studio of Steve Clayton's Rayven Audio in Dothan, Alabama. David cuts the songs which are on Songs From The Mobile Home, Pretty Much Feng Shui by himself on CDR. If you have his albums Stories From The Curve and Down To The Wire you know already that it is David on his best. When I listen to his new album the words of Ad van Meurs (The Watchman) from a few years ago are spinning in my head “From how far did he come? From Nashville? From Palestine? From India? From Germany? From Vietnam? David Munyon is coming from everywhere and sings beautiful song for everyone. His torques the world in his guitar case and from the clay of thousands of guru’s he creates his own God. With hypnotizing words he is taking care on of our harts.
